It's the same daily puzzle, but you now have 90 seconds to complete all three rounds (the clock stops between rounds!). You can only activate/ deactivate it before you play. Your games will continue in spicy mode till you change it again or until you clear your cache.

? Weekly Score:

The total shown here on a Sunday takes your best 6 scores from the week and sums them up.

Why?? There are some groups who, in friendly competition πŸ˜‰, post their daily score among themselves and count the winner as the person with the best 6 of 7 scores for the week - allowing for one missed day or an 'off' day.

When you click on the share button below (on a Sunday) it will also share this 'weekly' score.

Numbobulate scoring

In a nutshell:

2 points per round for a correct answer

Add an extra point per round for a speedy correct answer (*)

Deduct a point per round if you submit a result that is one away from the target (**)

* You have 9, 15 & 18 seconds per round respectively to get the extra point.

** or 2 away from the target on the third round.

More details and examples below

The colours:

🟩🟩🟩 A correct answer => green squares.

🟦🟦🟦 A speedy correct answer => blue squares.

🟧🟧🟧 If you get close to the target => orange squares.

The squares:

🟦⬜🟦 The number of coloured (not white) squares you have per round corresponds to the number of operators (+, - and x buttons) you used (out of a maximum of 3) to get to the target.

An example:

Say you get 🟩⬜🟩 in round 2. Green means you got the correct answer (Yay!) and you get 2 points for this correct answer. 2 green squares means you used 2 operators (and therefore just 3 of the 4 numbers) to get to your solution.

Slow and steady:

Over time, your number of games played is combined with your average-score-times-10 to give you one of the following levels to mastery:

PLAYER: Awarded after 9 games
GAMER: 27+ games AND a score of 54+
MASTER: 99+ games AND a score of 72+
